From your code to a fix, in six steps

  1. Read CodeControllers, services, repositories, DTOs and configuration.
  2. Understand Business LogicFollows each request from the controller to the database.
  3. Generate Test CasesPositive, negative and boundary scenarios from the rules it found.
  4. Execute TestsRuns them against an address you authorise.
  5. Find DefectsSecurity and code-review findings with file and line.
  6. Suggest FixesA change and a regression test for you to review.

Built to keep your code and data in your hands

ApiLense runs on your laptop or your own server. This is how the agent is designed to behave. Banks, insurers and hospitals: see how customer data stays in your services.

    Local and private environments

Self-hosted: your source and traffic stay on your machine or network. Tests run only against an environment you authorise for the project.

    Controlled project access

Sign-in with admin and member roles and per-project access.

    Protected credentials

Passwords, tokens, keys and card numbers are masked before anything is stored.

    Sanitized diagnostics

Logs and stack traces shown with a defect are redacted first.

    Developer review of fixes

The agent proposes a diff. It never changes your files; you review and apply it.

    Connect a service in minutes

Create a project, copy the ingest key, then choose the way that suits the service.

    1No code: OpenTelemetry

Point an existing agent or collector at ApiLense.

    3Any language

Post a batch of events over HTTP.

Also included: live API health beside every endpoint (latency, error rate, risk), spec drift, Try it, a service map, Slack/Teams/webhook alerts and masked failing examples.

    Questions

Does my traffic data leave my network?

No. ApiLense runs on your computer or your server and stores data in its own database there.

Do I test locally or on a server?

Both work. Run it from your IDE for local testing, or use the Docker setup with PostgreSQL on a server and put it behind HTTPS.

Will the client slow down my service?

No. Events go into a small queue and are sent in the background. If ApiLense is unreachable they are dropped, and your service carries on.

    What counts as an organization?

Any company or team using ApiLense for shared work. Personal learning and side projects use the free plan.
